Characteristics
Evergreen conifer, dense foliage, scale-like, emerald green leaves; slow growth; fibrous, brown bark.
Care
Grows well in any type of soil, provided it is well-drained; likes windy, cool places in summer, preferably in semi-shade. Use slow release fertilizers. Provide one treatment against fungal diseases in autumn as well as one in spring (Ziram); one treatment with white oil is advised in winter.
Pruning
Either in June or in September/October, avoid pruning in the hottest months; use only well sharpened hedge clippers.
